Has anyone heard of the studies on meditation and world peace? (please see links below if you have not.

What do you think? Could this be possible? Could we dare hope?

 Do you BELIEVE? Can you Imagine?

Essentially when we meditate we can impact the world and change what happens. Often hate and violence is a response to the energetic environment. So if we can create peace in the atmosphere it shifts the tone and violence can't work the same.

If more that 1% of a total population practices mediation the effect is amplified (thus it WILL cause a peaceful effect)

I'll be joining some friends for a 10 day Vipassana sitting in the Blue Ridge Mountains (hills) in September where we sit for about 11 hours a day starting at 4:00 am and finish around 10 pm or so.

It is an honor and privilige to be able to send vibes all over the world for Peace and Love.

I have not heard studies of meditation and world peace, but based on the studies I have heard I think it is totally possible.

I took a mindfulness meditation course based on Jon Kabat Zinn’s work and the results helping people in the class were amazing. There were about 30 people and watching/hearing peoples changes over the course was great.

I also came across a group who teaches yoga and meditation to at risk teens in a lower class area. This is done as a new way to give them coming skills.
